2009 Beijing Exchange Exhibition of “Taichung Artist Club” Opens

Invitation Exhibition of School of Arts, Renmin University of China, exchange exhibition of “Taichung Artist Club” in Taiwan opened in Renmin University of China. In the exhibition, dean of School of Arts professor Xu Qingping, deputy dean professor Xu Weixin, deputy secretary associate professor Bie Min, president of Taichung Artist Club Mr. Zheng Binghuang, the first president Mr. Xie Wenchang, sculptor Mr. Xie Dongliang, Chinese painting artists Mr. Wu Fuwen and Ms. Chen Yizhi, researcher from Chinese National Academy of Arts professor Wang Yong, Department of History in School of Arts, Qinghua University professor Zhang Gan,  School of Arts associate professor Huang Huasan, associate professor Gao Yi, associate professor Fu Yanghua, docter Ma Linfei , teacher Chen haobo and students from School of Arts, hundreds of people took part in the opening ceremony, chaired associate professor Wang Wenjuan.
 

Dean of School of Arts professor Xu Qingping delivered speech. He sent congratulations to the opening ceremony and hoped the exchange of art between Taiwan and Mainland could last; the two sides could work together to develop the art of China and promote the innovation of art. President of Taichung Artist Club Mr. Zeng Binghuang, and Mr. Xie Wenchang delivered speech respectively and hoped the communication between the both sides could last and go further. Honored guest professor Wang Yong gave a very high evaluation to exhibition works and her wishes to holding the exhibition successfully.

This Painting Joint Exhibition showed 51 pieces of Taiwan artists’ works, including Chinese painting, oil painting, water colors painting, ceramic craft, sculpture and other kind of art. Its themes are full of diversity, from people, flowers and birds, natural beauty to social reality. 
 

Artists and scholars from Mainland and Taiwan held academic seminar, around creation situation of Taiwan art and developing art of China.

Taichung Artist Club established in Taichung in 1972, the president to organize it is Mr. Xie Wenchang, with 35 members at present, covering professors of Department of Art and professional painters. This club had the aim of art communication, whose members’ works often displayed at home and abroad, with broad social influence.
